In June, the growth rate of electricity consumption dropped from the previous month, and the growth rate of electricity consumption in the first half of the year accelerated. In June, the electricity consumption of the whole society increased by 8.0% year-on-year, and the growth rate increased by 1.5 percentage points year-on-year and 3.4 percentage points quarter-on-quarter. The electricity consumption of the secondary industry accounted for 71.29% of the total electricity consumption in the whole society, an increase of 6.6%. The growth rate increased by 1.1 percentage points year-on-year and 4.3 percentage points quarter-on-quarter. Affected by the slowdown in the growth rate of electricity consumption in the secondary industry, the monthly growth rate in June has declined, but it has remained at a relatively high level. Overall, in the first half of the year, the total electricity consumption of the whole society increased by 9.4% year-on-year, and the growth rate increased by 3.1 percentage points year-on-year. The trend of accelerated power consumption growth remained unchanged. It is expected that the annual electricity consumption growth rate is expected to exceed expectations.

The industry's business climate continued to improve, and the utilization hours of power generation equipment rebounded. Since the beginning of this year, as the growth rate of electricity consumption in the whole society has accelerated and the growth rate of power installations has slowed down, the power industry has continued to improve. In the first half of the year, the power generation capacity of power plants with a capacity of over 6,000 kW increased by 6.2% year-on-year. The growth rate decreased by 0.7 percentage points from the same period of the previous year. The installed capacity of thermal power increased by 4.1% year-on-year, and the growth rate decreased by 0.5 percentage points from the same period of the previous year. The power supply was tight, the thermal power installation restrictions were relaxed, and the installed capacity growth rate increased, but the overall trend remained slow. Benefiting from the continued improvement of the industry's prosperity, the average utilization hours of power generation equipment in the first half of the year increased by 69 hours year-on-year, of which hydropower, thermal power, nuclear power and wind power increased by -9, 116, 141, and 159 hours respectively.
